Stahl romantic family relationship mother sacrifice melodrama (based on the novel by Fannie Hurst; about a woman who intends to marry a man, but circumstances prevent that from happening, and they separate for many years, and reunite when the man is married, but the woman has a "back street" affair with him) starring Irene Dunne, John Boles, June Clyde, George Meeker, Jane Darwell, Zasu Pitts, and Robert McWade. Note that this movie was remade in 1941 starring Charles Boyer and Margaret Sullavan. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
