An Undated (probably early 1944) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Brother Rat, the 1938 William Keighley Virginia Military Institute military academy romantic comedy ("From the play by John Monks, Jr. & Fred F. Finklehoffe") starring Priscilla Lane, Wayne Morris, Johnnie Davis, Jane Wyman, Eddie Albert, and Ronald Reagan. Note that two years after this movie was made, co-stars Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman married, and remained married for eight years! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had fairly significant defects which were somewhat repaired during the linenbacking process (we describe both the defects as well as the quality of the restoration below). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). the poster had a dime-sized area of paper loss at the middle foldline; there were extra horizontal folds just above each regular horizontal fold; there were pinholes, tears, and a few small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster.
