McGowan Our Gang (also known as The Little Rascals) slapstick photography juvenile comedy short (produced by Hal Roach; in this entry, Spanky's parents take him to a photographer, and the other Our Gang kids show up briefly to mess things up, but then Spanky refuses to pose for the photographer) starring George 'Spanky' McFarland, Gay Seabrook, Emerson Treacy, Franklin Pangborn (as the hapless photographer!), Matthew 'Stymie' Beard, Tommy Bond, Jerry Tucker, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy (Laurel and Hardy), Hal Roach, and Georgie Billings. Note that there is a very brief cameo of Laurel & Hardy appearing as "babies" getting their picture taken! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that only 4 lobby cards were produced for the re-release of this movie, and this is the complete set. It was quite common for studios to only make sets of four for short subjects or low budget movies (or re-releases of big budget movies), because it allowed them to print the sets at half the cost, and on shorts and low budget movies, they tried to save money any way they could (especially since it is likely few theaters even bothered to order lobby cards for these titles, since they were likely shown in addition to a better movie).
