An Original 1959 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Smultronstallet (released in the U.S. in 1959 as "Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries"), the classic 1957 Ingmar Bergman Swedish reflections-on-the-meaning-of-life family relationship melodrama (about a successful elderly doctor and his troubled relationship with his adult son, who is also a doctor, and his extended family, and he looks back over his long life, and he has disturbing dreams about his first romance and about his impending death) starring Victor Sjostrom, Bibi Andersson, Gunnar Bjornstrand, Ingrid Thulin, Folke Sundquist, Bjorn Bjelvenstam, Naima Wifstrand, and Jullen Kindahl. Note that Sjostrom was a major Swedish director starting in 1912 and in 1920 was hired by MGM where he had great success. He mostly quit directing with the advent of sound, but he became a mentor to Ingmar Bergman, and he took the lead role in this movie, and was incredible in it!
