An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (40x60; measures 40" x 60" [102 x 152 cm]) (Learn More) Happy New Year, the 1953 poster sent to theaters to wish their patrons a happy New Year holiday and featuring art of a street celebration with balloons spelling Happy New Year. Note that "Happy New Year" is also repeated in multiple languages! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this cool poster, and it sold for $340! Posters like these were ordered by many theaters prior to the major holidays, and displayed in their lobbies, but surely the vast majority of them were taken down and discarded as soon as the holiday was over, and they are extremely rare (I don't know that I have ever seen more than one of any one specific poster, so most are likely one of a kind). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has some light creases scattered in the image, but they are not very distracting. There are a few creases and smudges around the edges, with a 10" tear in the center of the bottom border that has a small piece of tape on the back of the bottom of the tear. The poster can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or certainly, one could choose to have restoration performed, either with or without backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
