Seiter Pennsylvania pre-Revolutionary War historical cowboy western ("America's First Rebel and his wildcat blonde in buckskin... Daring the peril path of wilderness in the danger days when Pittsburgh was 'way out West'... Riding the conflict of a nation aborning on a love that stood against the untold terrors of those turbulent times!"; "'Mighty' is the word for it! Mighty in theme!... Mighty in scope!... Mighty in spectacle!--But mightiest of all in the heat-winging thrill that sings and sweeps through every stirring scene!"; based on the novel 'The First Rebel' by Neil H. Swanson; about settlers in Pennsylvania in 1759 who try to get the governing British to ban alcohol sales to Native American Indians) starring Claire Trevor, John Wayne (as James 'Jim' Smith), George Sanders, Brian Donlevy, Wilfred Lawson, Robert Barrat, John F. Hamilton, Moroni Olsen, Eddie Quillan, and Chill Wills NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed on the back of an old poster! During World War II in Belgium, there was a massive paper shortage, and so they used whatever paper they could find to print the movie posters, and in many cases they used old posters and maps, and printed the movie posters on the reverse. They often also made the posters smaller, so they could get more posters printed. This practice continued for a couple of years after World War II. Since these posters are original, and since all such posters are printed on the back of maps or other posters, this is not considered a defect by almost all collectors. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The top border was folded back at one time. There is some writing in the upper left blank corner and there are a few tack holes and tiny tears around the edges of the poster. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well. Learn More about condition grades
