An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Lady of Secrets, the 1936 Marion Gering romantic love triangle family relationship sisters melodrama ("A new triumph for the screen!"; about a woman whose past contains many "secrets", and she wants to stop her beautiful young sister from following the same path) starring Ruth Chatterton, Otto Kruger, Lionel Atwill, Marian Marsh, Lloyd Nolan, and Robert Allen. Note that star Ruth Chatterton had taken two years off from movies to return to Broadway, and this was her "comeback" movie. It did not help that she was clearly too old for the part she played, and it helped even less than 20 year-younger Marian Marsh was cast as her "younger" sister, and it really didn't help at all that Chatterton had to play herself as a 17 year-old in a flashback, when she was actually 43!
