The Conquering Power, the 1921 Rex Ingram silent France family relationship greed romantic melodrama ("The Directors of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"; "Based on Balzacs Story 'Eugenie Grandet'"; about a miserly rich Frenchman who keeps his family living in poverty, and he wants his daughter to marry a rich man rather than her poor cousin [Rudolph Valentino] whom she loves, and at the end, he is alone in his "counting room", and bizarrely he is crushed to death by his chest of gold!) starring Alice Terry, Rudolph Valentino, Ralph Lewis, Carrie Daumery, and Bridgetta Clark
