An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (13x18 pbusta; measures approximately 14" x 19") (Learn More) La Fortuna di Essere Donna (released in the U.S. in 1958 as "What a Woman" and "Lucky to be a Woman"), the 1956 Alessandro Blasetti French/Italian sexploitation photography newspaper journalism romantic comedy melodrama ("She wanted to make good in the worst way... And found it only too easy!") starring Sophia Loren (billed as "Academy Award Winner! Sophia Loren"), Charles Boyer, Marcello Mastroianni, Elisa Cegani, Titina De Filippo, Nino Besozzi, and Giustino Durano. Note that movie was not released in the U.S. until two years after it was made, after Sophia Loren won the Oscar for Two Women (and she was billed as "Academy Award Winner"). Also note that Marcello Mastroianni was not yet a major star when this movie was released, and he is third billed. It would not be until 1957 that he started really getting noticed, and of course in 1959 he became an international star with La Dolce Vita! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie! Condition: good. The poster was folded down the center and there were many creases and scuffs down that area. There were some scuffs in the background areas and pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
