An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Clive of India, the 1935 Richard Boleslawski romantic action adventure historical biography melodrama ("Courage was his only weapon - that and the love of a woman - neither failed him."; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck) starring Ronald Colman (in the title role as Robert Clive, who started as an East India Tea Company clerk, and who ended up winning India for England!), Loretta Young, Colin Clive, Francis Lister, C. Aubrey Smith, Cesar Romero, and Robert Greig NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The card had tattering and paper loss in the left of the top blank area, and darkening in the center of the top blank area. It also had a line of darkening down the center (it varies in width, and becomes much wider at the bottom) and it had been partially folded down the center. The darkening affected the left edge of Colman's face and Young's chin. Some restorer did touch up to the center of the card. It was pretty well done, but you can see signs of the restoration, more so in the "R" of "Ronald" and in the "L" of "COLMAN", and in the face of the man at bottom center. I think the card displays pretty well, but certainly a talented restorer could perform additional restoration if the new owner of the card desired. Learn More about condition grades
