Auction History Result #3242 BRINGING UP BABY 6 8x10s#2 R40s Hepburn Date Sold 10/14/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 6 R40s Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) Bringing Up Baby, the 1938 Howard Hawks romantic raising-a-leopard screwball comedy (about a paleontologist trying to get a million dollars for his museum, and he is joined in his quest by a flighty heiress who has a pet leopard named Baby!) starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Charlie Ruggles, Barry Fitzgerald, May Robson, Walter Catlett, Fritz Feld, Asta the Dog (the same dog as in the Thin Man movies!), Nissa the Leopard (in the title role as Baby), and Leona Roberts NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the still set. Because we are selling more than one set of stills from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..". Condition: very good. We are selling thousands of stills this week, and we can't give detailed descriptions of every one. However, we have linked the small image below to a much larger image that should allow you to get an excellent idea of the still(s) defects (if any). Please realize that these are original vintage stills (most many decades old), and they will have defects typical of decades old photos. The still(s) in this lot have the following general defects (please also look at the larger image by clicking on the image below): border defects including small tears and creases as well as minor scuffs and smudges throughout the stills (mostly only noticeable when the stills are held at an angle to the light); Note that these stills are slightly "bowed" (they don't lay completely flat). This is common with original vintage stills. The stills could be easily flattened out over time by storing them under weight. Learn More about condition grades
