Then all hell broke loose!"; "Ante up for an exciting suspense Western where the stakes are life or death!"; "From the producer of The Sons of Katie Elder, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and Last Train from Gunhill."; "From a novel by Ray Gaulden"; "Screenplay by Marguerite Roberts") starring Dean Martin ("...the hellfire gambler"), Robert Mitchum ( "...the gunfire preacher"; in a role reminiscent of his wonderful psychotic would-be preacher in "Night of the Hunter"), Inger Stevens, Roddy McDowall, and Katherine Justice NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. There was a 3" tear in the right of the bottom foldline, mostly in the image background, but extending into the top of the playing card. There was some minor fold wear, pinholes in the corners, and some smudges in the solid white background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
