Date Sold 5/26/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Third Liberty Loan, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bond poster ("My daddy bought me a government bond of the Third Liberty Loan, did yours?") used to encourage people to buy government bonds (to help pay for the huge debts incurred during the war), and featuring great unsigned artwork of a little girl clutching a bond to her chest (which matures in 1932!). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a few tears of varying lengths around the edges (one is backed by conservation tape at lower center) but they only affect blank paper. There is a partial horizontal crease at upper right that extends into the girl's hair (see our image). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a relatively simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
