Date Sold 1/23/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 7 magazine pages from Puck ("What fools these mortals be!"), the weekly humor magazine first published in the United States in 1871, and it continued until 1918. Originally, it had both an English language and a German language edition. In 1916, the magazine was purchased by William Randolph Hearst, but it only lasted two more years. The title of the magazine comes from the Shakespeare character, Puck, from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (a child-like version of him became the magazine's "mascot"!). Note that the itams in this lot are mostly from the 1800s. Measurements: 10" x 14"Condition: very good. Each page was removed from one or more issues of this magazine.
