An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) My Son, the Hero, the 1943 Edgar Ulmer gambling family relationship mistaken identity romantic screwball comedy (this wacky comedy steals from a dozen different movies, lifting its basic plot from "Lady for a Day", except instead of a mother wanting to impress her daughter by pretending to be rich, it is a boxing promoter father trying to impress his war hero son; it adds in raising $100,000 through selling war bonds, betting on the wrong race horse at the race track by accident, but the wrong one wins, and saves the day, and a ton of other cliches that were old even in 1943) starring Patsy Kelly, Roscoe Karns, Joan Blair, Carol Hughes, Max 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, and Luis Alberni. Note that amazingly, the entire movie was made in six days (perhaps Edgar Ulmer was emulating God!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
