Ultimo Tango a Parigi (released in the U.S. in 1973 as "Last Tango in Paris"), the classic 1972 Bernardo Bertolucci (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) French/Italian France romantic melodrama starring Marlon Brando (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Maria Schneider, Maria Michi, Giovanna Galletti, Jean-Pierre Leaud, and Massimo Girotti (billed as "also starring Massimo Girotti")

Important Added Info: Note that this film was very popular in Italy but also very controversial. It was released in December of 1972, and in early 1973 legal proceedings were begun to ban the film and charge the director with obscenity. The legal battle was quite lengthy, and in 1976 the Italian Supreme Court concluded that all copies of the film were to be destroyed (though some were preserved by the National Film Library), and Bertolucci was served with a four-month suspended sentence in prison and had his civil rights revoked for five years. In 1987, the ban was finally lifted and the film was re-released in Italy. We believe that the poster offered here (which is a "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie) is from after the first release but before the film was banned in 1976. Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie! Also note that this Italian two-panel was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap.

Note that this Italian poster was NOT folded in half "an extra time", as some Italian posters are. This means it has fewer folds than those posters which are folded an extra time, but it also means that it must be sent in a larger flat package that measures approximately 15" x 23". We are also separately auctioning Italian posters that WERE folded an extra time, and which can be sent in a standard flat package. We list the two types separately by how they are folded, so that you can more easily know which kind of shipping each type requires.

Condition: good to very good.
