An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Window Card Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

Sing, Baby, Sing, the 1936 Sidney Lanfield romantic musical comedy ("A mad-merry musical delight!"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck) starring Alice Faye, Adolphe Menjou, Gregory Ratoff, Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), Patsy Kelly, Michael Whalen, and The Ritz Brothers (Al, Jimmy & Harry)

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a heavy board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards.

Condition: good. The poster had many smudges and stains throughout and there was 2" of missing paper down the right side of the poster and the other three borders were tattered (the blank top had been trimmed off). The poster was pretty well backed, but there are ripples in the top left of the image (likely where the poster is slightly lifting from the backing) and while the smudges in the image were lightened during the restoration process, they are still visible. Overall, this is a pretty heavily restored poster, and you can see signs of the restoration, even from a distance, but I would think many collectors could still be happy to display it on their wall! Note that the poster was handled roughly after paperbacking and there is a long, diagonal crease in the top left corner of the blank top area, 2" from the top edge. It is not an important defect at all, since anyone who would frame the poster would surely matte out the top blank area.
