An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Fury, the classic 1936 Fritz Lang mob-violence-and-its-aftermath crime melodrama ("Based on a story by Norman Krasna"; about a man who is a victim of an angry mob, and he is trapped in a building and left to burn to death; he survives, but remains hidden, and the members of the mob are put on trial for his "death") starring Sylvia Sidney, Spencer Tracy, Walter Abel, Walter Brennan, Eddie Quillan, Bruce Cabot, Frank Albertson, and George Walcott. Note that this is a VERY "dark" movie, reflective of Fritz Lang's world view, having recently escaped Nazi Germany, and of course, the world itself had a similar view, with Adolf Hitler's rise to power. Yet it is also a very powerful movie, and many consider it among Fritz Lang's very best movies, which is saying a lot! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that original 1936 release material from this movie is extremely scarce! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and black tape, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the black tape or the edges of the slide well. Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide is in nice condition!
