Joan Baez is a legendary folk rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) singer, songwriter, musician, and activist from the 1950s to the present. She had a popular hit song with "Diamonds & Rust" but is best known for putting her own touch on covering songs written by other people including: Farewell Angelina, Love Is Just a Four-Letter Word, Joe Hill, Sweet Girl Galahad, and We Shall Overcome. As of 2023, she is still alive at the age of 82!
