Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) Easy Rider, the classic 1969 Dennis Hopper Cannes-Award-winning motorcycle biker drugs hippie counterculture melodrama ("This Year It's Easy Rider"; "A man went looking for America. And couldn't find it anywhere..."; "Written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Terry Southern", who were nominated for the Best Writing Academy Award) starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Luana Anders, Antonio Mendoza, Luke Askew, Toni Basil, Karen Black, Robert Walker, Carrie Snodgress, and Sabrina Scharf NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The top 1" of the poster was folded back at one time. The poster was folded four times horizontally (counting the fold along the top) and three times vertically. There was tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and creases on most foldlines. It appears there may have been a snipe covering the tagline under the title at one time, but if so, there is very little trace of it. There were pinholes and smudges around the edges of the poster.
