It Always Rains on Sunday, the 1947 (released in the U.S. in 1949) Robert Hamer English Ealing Studios romantic love triangle prison escape crime film noir ("Follow this man in his desperate fight... To the one woman who might save him!"; "The secrets of a street you know"; "From the novel by Arthur La Bern"; about a man who escapes from prison and he goes to his former girlfriend's house to hide out, but that is complicated by the fact that she has since married and her husband wants no part of it!) starring Googie Withers ("as the ex-barmaid"), Jack Warner ("as the detective"), John McCallum ("as the escaped convict"), Betty Ann Davies, and Edward Chapman
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" pressbook for this English movie! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of an inside spread, but of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are selling (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. There is a 1 1/2" tear in the left of the top edge of the pressbook through all the pages and there are some smaller tears and areas of tattering scattered around the edges of the pressbook.
