Date Sold 5/7/2017 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 10 issues of Screen Stories featuring Debbie Reynolds. Screen Stories is one of the many movie magazine sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus condensed short "novelizations" of a group of then-currently playing movies (one would be longer and run as a "complete novel", and some "special features", which were typical publicity stories like what was then in other movie magazines). Each of the novelizations has lots of sepia images taken from the movie, plus portraits of some of the stars. Also, in every issue are many wonderful vintage ads, some in color and some in black and white, and sometimes the ads can be just as much fun as the original stories and pictures. Of course, some of the ads are from movies that were about to open, and in the early days of eBay, people would remove those full-page ads and auction them by themselves, and they would often sell for $10, $20, or more, just for a single movie ad removed from a magazine just like this! Note that the items in this lot are from the 1950s to the 1960s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
