The caves have been open to the public since 1828, and were used as a shelter for the people of Remouchamps during World War II (WWII). The underground river Rubicon flows through the caves and is navigable for 2,000 ft. Artist: O. Lieder Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few tears around the edges with a larger tear at upper center. There is a series of small tears running vertically (approximately 4" from the left edge). The larger tear and those tears at left have been backed with clear tape. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after a pretty simple linenbacking the poster will look great!
