An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Canadian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26 3/4" x 40" [68 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Road to Bali, the 1952 Hal Walker Indonesia musical screwball adventure comedy sequel (one of the highly successful "Road to..." pictures) starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Murvyn Vye, Peter Coe, Ralph Moody, Leon Askin, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have sold a number of posters that look similar to this one, with a silkscreen-like look to them, and they are almost always from English movies. Since most of these have come to us directly from Canada, we think it is likely that they are Canadian one-sheets created for theaters that had difficulty obtaining regular movie paper. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this Canadian one-sheet measures 26 3/4" x 40" [68 x 102 cm], but it has not been trimmed.
