An Original Vintage Unfolded German Art Museum Poster (measures 23 3/8" x 33") (Learn More)

Alfons Mucha: Triumph Des Jungendstils (literally translates to "Triumph Of Art Nouveau"), the 1997 German poster advertising an exhibition of Alfons Mucha art that was held from the 16th of May to the 20th of July at the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, Germany and featuring very cool artwork by Alfons Mucha. The work on this poster is one of Mucha's first works to follow the style that made him famous. He created it for an exhibition of the work of a group of artists who exhibited art at the French journal "La Plume". The members of this group were famous Parisian artists including Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Steinlen, Ensor, Grasset, Rassenfosse, and Louis Rhead. Mucha wanted to become a member of the group, and he succeeded with this poster. Mucha attracted the attention of the gallery owner Leon Deschamps who visited Mucha in his studio while he was designing the art seen on this poster. Deschamps persuaded Mucha to print it in this unfinished lightly outlined style which would become the style that made Mucha famous.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
