She performed in many operas across the world but enjoyed particular success in the operas of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner. She also became a member of the Metropolitan Opera and in 1923-1924 was listed as one of the 12 greatest living women by the National League of Women Voters. She passed away in 1947 at the age of 76. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this appears to be a window card for when this singer appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, but because it was trimmed, it is difficult to know if that is the case, or if it was created for another purpose. If anyone knows more about it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this window card has been trimmed and it now measures 12" x 15" [30 x 38 cm]. Condition: poor to fair. The window card was trimmed to 12" x 15" and there are tears and paper loss around the edges (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
