Important Added Info: Note that, in a great bonus for "Our Gang" fans, this card includes a large image of Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer standing next to Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed at the dance (he had an uncredited role in the movie)! Note that there are two slightly different original sets of cards for this movie (the only difference is that one set has a light green background and the other has a light blue background). Both have every bit of original RKO 1946 information they should have, and it is impossible to know if one set predates the other (my personal opinion is that, like with many other lobby cards at this time, the cards were printed in more than one location, and for some reason, some of the cards were printed with a different background color than the other). Every advanced collector I know considers cards from either type of set to be completely original cards, and there is no preference I am aware of for either type of set. If anyone knows more about this difference in color, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a 1/4" tear in the middle right of Alfalfa's jacket, with some tiny scuffs around that tear. There are some creases, smudges, scuffs, and a few tiny tears in parts of the blank borders, with a few pinholes within the solid colored border areas, and two in the upper background of the inset image. There were two pieces of tape on the back of the center of two borders (not put there for any restoration purpose), and when they were removed, they left stains in those areas, which have slightly bled through to the front (see our images). The card can certainly still be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or one could choose to perform restoration to the above very minor defects. Learn More about condition grades
