An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20 1/4" x 28 5/8" [51 x 73 cm]) (Learn More) The Getaway, the classic 1972 Sam Peckinpah romantic crime action thriller ("Screenplay by Walter Hill"; "From the novel by Jim Thompson") starring Steve McQueen (as Doc McCoy), Ali MacGraw (as Carol McCoy), Ben Johnson (as Jack Beynon), Al Lettieri (as Rudy Butler), Sally Struthers ("as Fran"), Slim Pickens, Jack Dodson, Dub Taylor, and Bo Hopkins. Note that the source novel of this movie was pretty "unfilmable" as written (especially the ending!), but Walter Hill did an excellent job adapting it, and while it is not the same story, it is in many ways faithful to the original, and it is certainly one of the best movies of its kind ever made! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was released in Japan with three different styles of posters, two of which are far more rare than the third. This is one of the rare styles! Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster was tri-folded and there are many extra creases along both folds. There are some tears at the left and right ends of those folds, and someone performed restoration to the back of those areas with tape. Learn More about condition grades
