An Original 1951 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage Theatrical Folded German "A1" Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33" [58 x 84 cm]) (Learn More)

Edgar Rice Burroughs' Jungle Girl, the 1941 John English & William Witney jungle native tribe adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters"; "Based on the famous novel 'Jungle Girl' by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Frances Gifford (in the title role as Nyoka Meredith, the Jungle Girl), Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr, Trevor Bardette, Eddie Acuff, Frank Lackteen, Tommy Cook, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all he did (no doubt he too owned a gorilla suit!).

Artist: Leo Bothas
Important Added Info: Note that apparently this feature movie was split into two different parts when it played in Germany in 1951 (perhaps they showed them at Saturday matinees there), or the serial version was combined into a total of two parts, because this poster references Part II. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. Unfortunately, there is a small area of blue marker in the woman's upper lip (creating a mustache) at upper left and in the tiger's eye at lower right. There is also pencil marking in some of the tiger's teeth at right. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
