He is best remembered for playing the "Gill Man" on land in Creature From the Black Lagoon (Ricou Browning played him in the underwater sequences). Some of his other movies include: Pagan Love Song, and Hawaiian Nights. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 79. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ben Chapman! Note that this item comes from the collection of Marvin Mayo. He was a major Los Angeles-based horror/sci-fi collector who passed away around 8 years ago. He was an extremely dedicated collector and he attended sci-fi conventions, obtaining autographs there and at signings (and since he lived in Los Angeles, he was able to go to many of them), and he also wrote actors and writers for autographs, and visited some who allowed it. Many of the items in his collection were personalized to him, and we feel certain this item has an authentic signature! Condition: very good to fine. This REPRODUCTION is in nice condition!
