Plunge back 7000 years in civilization!"; "SEE! The Forbidden Sights of Darkest Africa Frenzied by Superstition and Witchcraft!"; "Written and Produced by Sidney Kaufman") narrated by Burgess Meredith, and featuring Hassoldt Davis and Ruth Staudinger Davis as themselves. Note that this was a husband and wife jungle documentary in the tradition first started in the 1910s by several early jungle explorers. Those movies had been extremely popular in the days before television, when this was the only way an average person could ever hope to see "Darkest Africa". But by 1958, countless movies and TV shows had shown different images of Africa, so this sort of documentary did not have nearly the same appeal as it had decades before!
