Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a tear in the center of the top border that went down to Eastwood's forehead and across his cheek into his sleeve (it missed both of his eyes). It also had minor wear on the folds and some tiny tears in the rest of the borders, with some smudges in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
