An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Splendor, the 1935 Elliott Nugent romantic rich-family-goes-broke-and-pins-hope-on-single-son comedy ("Screenplay by Rachel Crothers"; about a young man whose rich family goes broke, and they want him to marry a rich woman so that they can regain their former stature, but then he disappoints them by marrying a beautiful, but poor, woman) starring Miriam Hopkins, Joel McCrea, Paul Cavanagh, Helen Westley, Billie Burke, David Niven (in his third credited movie role!), Ruth Weston, and Arthur Treacher NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most inserts, especially from before 1970!
