An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/4" x 30" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

The Pure Hell of St. Trinian's, the 1960 (released in the U.S. in 1961) Frank Launder English adolescent girls comedy sequel ("They're grown up [and how!] and funnier than ever!"; "Those girls of St. Trinian's are fighting with barely concealed weapons..."; "[But Justice Isn't Blind]"; "Inspired by the St.Trinian's Drawings by Ronald Searle"; the third in a series of St. Trinian's movies, following 1954's "The Belles of St. Trinian's" and 1957's "Blue Murder at St. Trinian's", and there were a number of further movies, but only one more in the 1960s; in this entry, the school from the earlier two movies has burnt to the ground, and a man shows up who offers to take the girls on a cruise, but they don't know that he plans to sell them as harem girls!) starring Cecil Parker, George Cole, Joyce Grenfell, Eric Barker, Thorley Walters, Irene Handl, Dennis Price, and Sidney James. Note that this movie had the cast members from the first two movies (with the absence of Alastair Sim) returning, and the movies after this one did not have the same cast members. Many people consider the first three movies to be comic masterpieces!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that, while this poster was printed in Australia, it was specifically made to be used in New Zealand. This was not an uncommon practice and we have seen many examples. These posters often lack the printed rating which can be found on the Australian version of the poster.

Condition: good. The poster has some spotty discoloration mainly around the edges. It has some light creases scattered throughout. After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
