An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Burt Reynolds was an actor from the 1950s to the 2010s. He was partially of Cherokee Indian ancestry, and he had his first major success as the character Quint, the "half-breed" on TV's popular "Gunsmoke". Some of his movies include: Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, Boogie Nights (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and The Longest Yard. In April of 1972, right after he made Deliverance, Reynolds posed for a nude centerfold for Cosmopolitan Magazine, which was a MAJOR sensation at that time (although the photo was "tastefully" arranged so that there was not complete nudity)! He is well known for his romantic relationships with Sally Field and Dinah Shore, and his marriage to Loni Anderson. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Burt Reynolds! Also note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from , but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
