An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Dracula A.D. 1972 (released in France and Belgium as "Dracula 73"), the 1972 Alan Gibson English Hammer vampire horror thriller ("New from Hammer!"; "The time: Now, The Place: Kings Road, Chelsea, The Killer: Count Dracula"; "The Count is back, with an eye for London's hotpants... And a taste for everything."; "We dare you to take part in the HorroRitual and become a Dracula A.D. 1972"; "You actually participate in this occult initiation. You are transported into the mysterious world of The Court Dracula Society. You will receive an honorary membership card in this exclusive group.") starring Christopher Lee (in the title role as Count Dracula), Peter Cushing (as Professor Van Helsing), Stephanie Beacham (who later starred on TV's "Dynasty"!), Christopher Neame (as "Johnny Alucard"; the last name being an obvious reversal of the spelling of "Dracula"), Michael Coles, Caroline Munro, and Janet Key NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of NSS info at the bottom and the lack of a ratings box. Condition: good. This poster was linenbacked, but it had fairly significant defects that were corrected during the linenbacking process, and they are somewhat noticeable even from a distance. Some collectors could accept these defects and display this poster as is, and others would want additional professional restoration before they would display it. You can tell more about what defects this poster had and how good the restoration was by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). There was writing on the back of the poster that bled through in the right of the top orange background area and also in the top right 1" of the image. The poster was folded in half an extra time and there were creases along all folds. There were pinholes around the edges of the poster. The poster was fairly well linenbacked, but you can see some signs of the restoration of the bled through area, even from a distance. Learn More about condition grades
