An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Vincent Blasco Ibanez' Blood and Sand, the 1941 Rouben Mamoulian Spain bullfighting matador toreador romantic love triangle melodrama ("The matador who defied death... for love!"; "Tyrone Power in Vicente Blasco Ibanez' Blood and Sand"; "Based on the novel by Vicente Blasco Ibanez"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Linda Darnell, Rita Hayworth, Alla Nazimova (billed as "Nazimova"), Anthony Quinn, J. Carrol Naish, Lynn Bari, John Carradine, Laird Cregar, Monty Banks, Vicente Gomez, and George Reeves. Note that famous silent screen star Alla Nazimova came out of retirement in 1940 and made five movies from then to 1945, including this one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. This poster was well restored, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good. The poster had small holes at the crossfolds and 3 small areas of paper loss in the upper center of the poster (mostly in the white background, but slightly in the "S" of "SAND"). Otherwise, the poster had some fold and border wear, but overall it was in nice condition prior to being linenbacked. There is an odd light red discoloration in the left of the bottom foldline, which appears to be a minor printing defect. Learn More about condition grades
