An Original Vintage Print Block (measures 1" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" [3 x 4 x 6 cm]) (Learn More) The Killer Shrews, the 1959 Ray Kellogg science fiction (sci-fi) giant monster horror thriller ("all that was left after... 'The Killer Shrews'"; "They had to eat 3 times their body weight each day... Or Starve!"; about a group of people trapped on an island with a doctor whose experiment has unwittingly created giant shrews) starring Ingrid Goude, James Best, Ken Curtis, Baruch Lumet (father of director Sidney Lumet!), and Gordon McLendon. Note that the ad campaign for this strange movie used very clever art that only shows a "shrew tail" covering a woman's shoe with the tagline "all that was left after..."! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that print blocks like this were made for a local theater by their local newspaper, and then the ad shown on the print block was printed in the local paper to get people to come to that movie. The print block has a negative image with reversed writing, because the newspaper would show a mirror image of it (and you can see that exact image since someone did put ink on the block and made an impression, and of course you can put ink on the block and make your own!). The public learned of print blocks like these a number of years ago when a pair of women discovered a huge collection of them and brought them to the TV show "Antiques Roadshow", where they were appraised for millions of dollars. But you can purchase one or more of these for a fraction of that amount, because each starts at $1 with no reserve! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
