Note that, at the same time this movie was being made in Italy, another movie, "La Spada e la Croce", was also being made. This movie, "Le Schiave di Cartagine", was released in the U.S. in 1960 as "The Sword and the Cross", and later in 1960 "La Spada e la Croce" was released as "Mary Magdalene", and it appears that sometimes the two movies have been confused (both about early Christians in Rome, both made in Italy in the late 1950s, and both released in the U.S. in 1960).
