An Undated (probably 2010s) Re-Release Theatrical Folded Egyptian Movie Poster (measures 28 1/4" x 39 3/4" [72 x 101 cm]) (Learn More) Star Wars (now known as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"), the classic 1977 George Lucas (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) outer space fantasy action adventure science fiction (sci-fi) epic ("A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."; "George Lucas, the man who brought you American Graffiti now brings you an adventure as big as the cosmos itself: Star Wars, the story of a boy, a girl, and a universe. It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we think it is extremely likely that this poster was created within the last 10 years (possibly in the last couple of years) for an Egyptian movie theater showing classic movies (perhaps this was created for a single showing, but we really don't know). We have been told that there were Egyptian film festivals in the 1990s that used posters like these, and that might well be true, but we believe this poster (and the other recent Egyptian re-releases we are currently auctioning) are much more recent than that (so maybe there continue to be film festivals to the present day). It was consigned to us from Egypt, but we know nothing more about its history except for what is written above, so please do not bid unless you can accept these uncertainties. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster has some light creases along the folds and scattered in various areas but is otherwise in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
