If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that most collectors associate "Belgian posters" with "window card" size posters that measure around 14" x 22", and in fact, from right after World War II until the late 1980s, Belgian posters WERE almost always this size. But in recent years, the Belgian poster creators have been making some "one-sheet" sized posters and also some "French one-panel" sized posters, which can be very confusing until you learn this! This is a Belgian poster that is printed in a French one-panel size, but was used in Belgium. This is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 41"). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Note that this is an advance Belgian poster (note the "Vanaf 27 December In De Bioscoop" at the bottom of the poster). Also note that this is a double-sided poster. From the 1990s on, movie posters were often made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
