An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Woodstock, the classic 1970 Michael Wadleigh documentary of the legendary rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) music concert festival ("peace"; "people"; "love"; "grass"; "music"; "America"; "Three days of peace, music... and love"; "No one who was there will ever be the same. Be there."; "This way to Woodstock... the movie"; "Sit on"; "[with a little help from our friends.]") featuring Joan Baez, Joe Cocker, Country Joe & the Fish, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, John Sebastian, Sha-na-na, Sly and the Family Stone, Ten Years After, The Who, and "400,000 other beautiful people". Note that few people know that the "supervising editor" for this movie was Martin Scorsese! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1970, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
