Sylvan Simon World War II (WWII) military comedy ("Based on a story by Lawrence Kimble and Cyril Hume"; this was an attempt by MGM to recapture the big successes that Wallace Beery had with Marie Dressler in the early 1930s, but Dressler was no longer alive, so MGM substituted Marjorie Main, another "battleaxe" type; about a crusty old Cavalry Sergeant who resists adapting to the modern army with tanks and other modern inventions) starring Wallace Beery, Marjorie Main, Lewis Stone, George Bancroft, Henry O'Neill, Donna Reed, Chill Wills, and William Lundigan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most inserts, especially from before 1970!
