An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Gates of Heaven, the classic 1980 Errol Morris pet cemetery documentary ("Death is for the living and not the dead so much.") featuring a bunch of pet owners who lost their pets, a man who works at a rendering plant, and a family who owns a lavish pet cemetery. There are those (myself included) who consider this the finest documentary ever made! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had some tiny creases and scuffs by parts of several foldlines, and a long horizontal crease running from 2" to the right of the bottom crossfold to the "V" of "HEAVEN". Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
