A 1949 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Ape Man, the 1943 William Beaudine science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller (based on the story by Karl Brown) starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as the monster, Dr. James Brewster), Louise Currie, Wallace Ford, Henry Hall, Minerva Urecal, and Emil Van Horn (as the gorilla). Note that Ray 'Crash' Corrigan and Charles Gemora were two actors who played lots of gorillas in movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Emil Van Horn and Jack Leonard each played around a dozen gorillas, and interestingly, that was all they did (no doubt all four of them owned a gorilla suit!). Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a rectangular area of slight darkening in the upper left blank border, with pinholes in the corners and a tiny tear in the upper right blank border that was repaired with tape from the back.
