An Original (from the first release in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 23" x 33 3/4") (Learn More) Gli Sbandati (released in English-speaking countries as "Abandoned" and as "Abandoned: The Runaways"), the 1955 Francesco Maselli Italian World War II (WWII) romantic melodrama (about how Italian civilians dealt with the Allied invasion of Italy in 1943) starring Lucia Bose, Isa Miranda, Jean-Pierre Mocky, Goliarda Sapienza, and Anthony Steffen. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that director Eriprando Visconti is the nephew of director Luchino Visconti. Also note that Isa Miranda was an Italian stage actress who became famous in 1934 in Max Ophuls' film "La Signora di tutti". That brought her to the attention of Hollywood, and she signed a contract with Paramount and made a few movies there, but when World War II started, she returned to Italy and acted on the stage and in movies there. After the war, she appeared in many excellent movies. In the 1950s, her career started to wind down, and she started to do much TV and stage appearances.
