Mickey Spillane's My Gun is Quick, the 1957 George A. White & Phil Victor crime film noir ("A Brand New Blast of that Mickey Spillane Brand of Terror...Teasing...and Trigger-Hot Action!"; "What'll it be Mike honey - me and a million in hot diamonds... Or a cheap funeral!'"; "Mickey Spillane's newest bombshell of brute force - bare flesh - and boiling terror!"; "Million-Dollar Dames... A Million-Buck Heist... A Million Volt Shocker!"; "Mickey Spillane's Newest, Blood-Boiling Best!!"; "It rips - deep as the claw of a killer! It strips - down to the raw thrills that only Spillane could dish out!"; "The High Society Dame Who Played It Lowdown And Dirty!"; "The Secretary Who 'Worked' After Hours!"; "The Stripper Who Knew How To Tease!"; "The Blonde Who Left Her Bathroom Door Open!"; "Screenplay by Richard Collins"; "Screen Story by Richard Powell") starring Robert Bray (billed as "introducing Robert Bray as 'Mike Hammer'"), Whitney Blake, Donald Randolph (billed as "Don Randolph"), Richard Garland, Fred Essler, Booth Colman, Pamela Duncan, Gina Core, Patricia Donahue, Jan Chaney, and Peter Mamakos. Note that Mickey Spillane was a department store salesman in 1940 when he discovered he could sell stories for comic books, and he quickly wrote for all the major companies. After Pearl Harbor, he enlisted in the Air Force and became a fighter pilot. After the war, he wrote "I, the Jury" in 19 days, and it was published in 1947, and it sold 6.5 million copies in the U.S. alone. Its hero, Mike Hammer, a hard-boiled private eye, would appear in many more novels. Spillane would write for the movies, and he even played Mike Hammer in "The Girl Hunters" in 1963!
