An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]) (Learn More)

The Little American, the 1917 Cecil B. DeMille & Joseph Levering silent World War I (WWI) romantic love triangle melodrama (about a young American woman who has two boyfriends, one French and one German, and as luck would have it she is going to France on a luxury liner to her French boyfriend, but a German U-boat sinks her ship, and she is rescued and ends up with the German boyfriend, but when she sees that he is inhuman she becomes a spy for the French!) starring Mary Pickford ("in a stirring photo-play of great patriotic appeal"; in the title role as Angela Moore), Jack Holt, Raymond Hatton, Hobart Bosworth, Walter Long, Wallace Beery (uncredited in his fourth movie role!), Ramon Navarro (uncredited in his third movie role), and Colleen Moore (in her fifth movie role!). Note that America stayed out of World War I until April 1917, but when they finally entered, Hollywood made a number of movies that were very critical of their German enemy in the war, and this was one of them!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a group of three stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this lobby card! Also note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 13" [25 x 33 cm]. Finally, note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. All the borders were neatly trimmed off. The part of the card that is present is in pretty nice condition, and it has never had any sort of restoration.
