An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Cinemascope: Festival in Color, the 1955 stock poster ("Special added attraction"; "The newest screen thrills in the field of sport and adventure and the world today") promoting a series of shorts filmed in the 20th Century Fox Cinemascope display format. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds, with darkening in the top quarter of the vertical fold and in the right half of the top fold, with minor wear on the other folds. It had an NSS stamp on the back of the top right that bled through to the front. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
