He predominantly does artwork for advertising. Some of his works include: Chez Paniss (he did the artwork for the restaurant's matchbooks for 15 years, until it became a non-smoking establishment!), By Hand, Champagne Deutz, Big Man, and Annunciation. He did several memorable faux movie posters in the 1970s and 1980s for classic movies (basically the exact concept of Mondo and Alamo Drafthouse, decades before they began) and those were sold to the public, sometimes in signed limited editions. As of 2021, Goines is still alive at the age of 75! Artist: David Lance Goines Important Added Info: Note that this poster is titled "Mirage Editions", which was a publisher of art books at this time. We imagine that they commissioned Goines to create this art for them, which shows a young boy standing by a locomotive. But surprisingly, we could not find more information about the poster, or how it was distributed. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking?
